“Let us be grateful to people who make us happy; they are the charming gardeners who make our souls blossom.” — Marcel Proust

Happy Thanksgiving!! We want to say aloha to all of our family and friends here, back home in Hawaii, and abroad. We miss you and love you all. We are so very grateful to each and every one of you, and wish you all the best for this holiday season. Hugs and kisses!

“Wake at dawn with a winged heart and give thanks for another day of loving.” ~ Kahlil Gibran

Hej hej! First of all let me start by saying… Dad, I’m sorry it’s been such a long time since I updated my blog. Or how about:  Forgive me father for I have sinned. It’s been 16 days since my last blog. Hahahaa. But seriously, I have been crazy-busy and I am beginning to realize that it isn’t a good enough excuse anymore. I mean, I DO have time. We always have time. So my resolution starting now is going to be to blog more.

Kaleo is leaving the studio now, like as-I-type-now, and I am so happy. It’s fun when I am expecting him late and I get him early. Yippeee! Today we both worked in the morning. Me in my home office, and him in his home studio. Then he took off to the real studio around noon and I had class. It has been COLD. No, Ulrika, not Sweden cold but pretty damn California cold. To a Hawaii girl. Ok whatever, it’s about 60 degrees but it feels like 20. And of course I have on yoga pants, a tank top, bare feet and a scarf. Go figure. I like having my arms free of constricting arm things. Or as Kaleo says, Babe they’re called sleeves. SO yeah, I’m not a huge fan of tight sleeves. I just finished making leek and potato soup (my mom’s yummy recipe) and my loaf of Rågbröd (Swedish rye bread) is rising now. I’m also baking a pumpkin pie, but the bread will take another 45 minutes to bake once it has risen so we wait. And so I have a few minutes to blog.

Kaleo’s Fender a/r guy asked him to send some photos of him playing the amp he sent so I played around with some shots and this is the one they used! It’s on the Fender website and I am actually credited. Funny huh?  🙂  We have been having such a blast since he got off of tour. I mean, we are both working our okoles off with our own projects, but when two people are working so hard at something they are passionate about and then are able to come home and share stories about their day… it’s a beautiful thing.  Want to know what else is a beautiful thing??

Time for dinner. Kaleo’s home. Life is good.

I’ll play your favorite song… darlin’. We can rock it all night long… darlin’.

Hi!! We are home as of today, and I have a ton to catch up on. Si, senoras y senores, blogging is one of them. However, I have to upload my photos, unpack our suitcases and do laundry, teach three days of yoga this week, cuddle with pig since she missed us, and meet with Danielle all day tomorrow on business stuff. So my friends, I promise to blog soon about the yoga retreat, the boat, and Mexico very soon.

Oh, and a few of you have been asking whether my headlines are all lyrics from songs. Yes! You are absolutely right. 10 points. 5 more for those of you who know the songs they are from. I don’t know what you would do with the points, but it’s kind of fun to collect them anyway. 🙂
